Generic Tracking Query Manager

ADO implementation with support for MS SQL Server, Oracle (MS/ODP.NET) and MySql

State Machine Workflow Instance

Microsoft's StateMachineWorkflowInstance has a dependency on SqlTrackingService and SqlTrackingQuery when using the StateHistory property. This implementation utilises the GenericTrackingQueryManager to execute queries so is provider agnostic.

Common logging infrastructure

Use Common.Logging in order to abstract how logging is performed

!! Known Limitations
This release does not support querying the tracking database. This will be provided
as a point release in the near future.

The tracking service provides no support for partitioning and is unlikely to be
implemented (shouldn't partitioning be performed by the DBA at a database level,
not by a developer in software - opinions welcome!).

* System.Data.OracleClient - All platforms *except* Vista
* Oracle.DataAccess.Client - All platforms *except* Vista

MySql still has issues with System.Transactions that need resolving before the generic ADO persistence service can be used with it. Oracle under Vista has issues that still do not seem to be resolved under the 11g beta. Both issues have been reported to the relevant suppliers.

Completed tracking service infrastructure that works with existing SQL Server implementation as well as implementations for Oracle and MySQL. Possibility of PostgreSQL implementation of persistence and tracking services.

Initial release with generic persistence service including SQL Server, Oracle & MySql implementations. Following are known issues... - Oracle providers *DO NOT WORK* under Vista there is an issue with the Oracle MTS service that prevents TransactionScope / EnlistTransaction working correctly. See http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=943955&SiteID=1 and http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=512623&tstart=0. - ODP.NET provider has issues under XP, MS Oracle provider works fine. Needs investigation. - MySql provider has issues with System.Transactions, bug logged at http://bugs.mysql.com/?id=28709
